Excess value = stock above run-rate × target cover (e.g. 10,000 on hand, 2,000/mo, 3 months → keep 6,000, excess 4,000 × cost). Dead lines have no sales in the window, so all their stock is excess. The chart ranks lines by excess capital (bars) with cumulative share (line).
